The Hellenic Energy Regulation Institute (HERI) is pleased to announce the 9th Athens Conference on EU Energy Law and Policy, co-organised with the Bergen Institute of Energy Policy (Norway), the Berlin Institute for Energy and Regulatory Law Ε.V. (EnReg) and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies of Queen Mary University of London. The conference will take place online on 12 December 2025.
This flagship scientific event brings together leading academics, practitioners, and energy professionals from across Europe to address the most pressing issues in energy, climate, and sustainable development. Last year’s edition, broadcast live by Greece’s leading energy news portal Energypress.gr, reached more than 8,000 live viewers and over 11,000 unique participants.
The preliminary draft agenda for 2025 includes the following sessions:

II. Clean Transport and Alternative Fuels
III. Voluntary Meets Compliance: The Next Chapter for the EU ETS and Carbon Removal Markets
IV. Reforming EU State Aid Rules as a Driver for Innovation and Energy Transition
