Hellenic Energy Regulation Institute’s (HERI) leading annual “Athens Conference on European Energy Law and Policy” is coming up on Friday, December 16th, 2022. This year, the Conference is a joint initiative of HERI with the University of Bergen (Norway) and the Research Group for Natural Resource Law, Environmental Law and Development Law of the University of Bergen (UiB), while the German Institut für Energie- und Regulierungsrecht Berlin (ENREG) acts as Scientific Partner. Scientific Directors of the Conference are HERI’s Chairman, Prof. Antonis Metaxas and Prof. Ignacio Herrera Anchustegui, Faculty of Law, UiB.
Distinguished academics and market leaders from the European and International energy community will share their views and opinions in a constructive dialogue. Following the energy crisis and the ongoing developments in the energy market, the Conference’s focus on “Quest for Energy Independence and Sustainability: A Regulatory Insight“ reveals the general theme of this year’s Conference, which will focus on energy security and independence, state intervention in energy pricing, climate dispute resolution and trending energy topics including Offshore Wind, PPAs and Energy Storage.
