The presentation of the new book “Transformation of EU and Eastern Mediterranean Energy Networks” continued with an event in Thessaloniki, at the University of Macedonia on March 12th.
The University’s Department of International Relations hosted the event, with the participation of academics and students as well as high ranking officials from the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece HQ (NRDC-GR) based in Thessaloniki.
Comments and analysis on the book were offered by esteemed speakers including the US Consul General, Mr. Gregory W. Pfleger Jr, Professor Ilias Kouskouvelis, Dean of the School of Social Sciences and former Rector of the University of Macedonia, Mr. Giannis Bassias, President & CEO of the Hellenic Hydrocarbon Resources Management Company, and Dr. Spyros J. Kiartzis, Manager New Technologies and Alternative Energy Sources of Hellenic Petroleum S.A.
The panel was chaired by Professor Dimitrios Skiadas, President of the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia and a short introduction on the book was provided by the co-editor of the publication, Professor Antonis Metaxas, Chairman of the Hellenic Energy Regulation Institute.
